Data Community Events will be shutting down in November 2021 but don't worry - you will find all the same events at https://sqlwatch.io/events/. I am just reducing the number of websites I have to maintain.

Back in January 2020, I started a Data Platform User Group in York, UK. As a new group, I wanted to make sure that I create a great opportunity for the attendees as well as speakers and wanted to make sure we do not clash with other user groups and online events. After a quick Twitter chat, turned out any existing lists were out of date and there was no single place with all data community events.

This has become even more important during the 2020 pandemic where lockdown and social distancing rules created an opportunity for many online events.
